Wouldn’t it be great if you could share your Webflow project with a client through a read-only link?  

Thanks to the “Read-Only Link” feature in Webflow, you can share a special link to view your project. This allows others to see your work (even in Designer mode) without being able to make changes, making it a very secure way to share your work!

Now, in the top right corner of the Designer, you will see a new feature that lets you copy a preview link without interrupting your workflow

You might be wondering, where could this be useful?


Here’s what Webflow suggests.

1. Sharing with clients. Want to share progress with clients before publishing? Shoot them the preview link and let them browse the site in preview mode.

2. Debugging and help. Can’t figure out why your layout is so funked up? Share a preview link and let a fellow Webflow enthusiast kindly tell you what you’ve done wrong.

3.Tutorials and demos. Build something cool that you want to share with a friend, colleague, or estranged relative? Fire up that link and let them see exactly how you built it in Webflow.

In addition, Webflow has updated behavior for read-only links, now the Designer loads in preview mode, allowing clients and colleagues to interact with the site as it would appear live (which is especially convenient when the site isn’t ready to go live yet). But you can still switch back to the full Designer mode by clicking the eye icon in the top left corner after opening the read-only link.
